Part 141
Training
Currently we offer two training courses in our Part 141
program, the private pilot: airplane single-engine and the instrument rating:
airplane single-engine. Part 141 training schools require FAA approval and
provide a structured environment which ensures thorough preparation for your
future flying. Additionally, Part 141 training allows students to receive
funding through government and other loan agencies, in particular those
associated with educational institutions. We plan on adding the single-engine
commercial pilot training program this fall. Listed below are excerpts from our
training course outlines for both courses.
Private Pilot: Airplane Single-Engine Land
Prerequisites:
Applicants must have at least a current FAA Student Pilot Certificate and
current Third Class Medical Certificate, prior to reaching the solo portion of
the flight training.
Course
Objective: The
course is designed to provide the student with the knowledge, skill, and
aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements for a Private Pilot
Certificate, Airplane Single Engine Land.
Curriculum: The
Private Pilot Certification Course follows the Jeppesen syllabus.
Flight
Training: This
course consists of a minimum of 35 hours of flight training. Twenty hours
minimum of the total flight time will be dual flight instruction. Minimum solo
flight training will be 11 hours for the Jeppesen syllabus.
Ground
Training: This
course consists of 35 hours of ground instruction in addition to the Pre and
Post flight instruction provided in the Jeppesen Private Pilot syllabus. Ground
training will be complete when the student has successfully completed all
lessons and has successfully passed the FAA Knowledge Test for this rating.
Course
Completion Standards:
To meet the completion standards, the student must demonstrate through knowledge
tests, flight tests, and show through appropriate records that he/she meets the
knowledge, skill, and experience requirements necessary for the Private Pilot
certificate in accordance with the current FAA Private Pilot Practical Test
Standards.
Instrument Rating: Airplane Single-Engine Land
Prerequisites:
Applicants must have at least a current FAA Private Pilot Certificate and
current Third Class Medical Certificate.
Course Objective:
The course is designed to provide the student with the knowledge, skill, and
aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements for an Instrument
Airplane Rating.
Program Curriculum:
The Instrument Rating Course follows the Jeppesen Instrument Pilot
syllabus.
Flight Training:
This course consists of a minimum of 35 hours of flight training.
Ground Training:
This course consists of a minimum of 30 hours of ground instruction in the
Jeppesen Instrument Pilot syllabus. The ground training will be conducted
by the student’s individual instructor.
Course Completion Standards:
To meet the completion standards, the student must demonstrate through knowledge
tests, flight tests, and show through appropriate records that he/she meets the
knowledge, skill, and experience requirements necessary for the Instrument
Rating in accordance with the current FAA Instrument Airplane Practical Test
Standards.
